The Chicago Tribune reported today that a first edition Harry Potter book fetched $18,000 at an auction yesterday. The paper noted, "First editions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone — published in the United States as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone — are valuable because of their rarity, the auction house said. The publishers produced between 500 and 1,000 copies in the book's first run. "
Amazing what people will spend on one little (okay, maybe Harry Potter isn't so little) book.

Oh my gosh! One Harry Potter book was sold for $18,000. To tell you the truth, I would never pay that much for a book. And I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I mean it is just a book. Would you pay that much money just for a Harry Potter book? Please tell me!
